These terms govern your use of the RoamRise app and website. By downloading or using RoamRise you agree to them. Please read them carefully — especially the section on safety while driving.

2. What RoamRise is — and is not
RoamRise is an app for discovering, recording and sharing your favourite routes. It is for every driver and traveller who wants to enjoy the journey — by car, motorbike, bike or on foot. We focus on user-verified routes, sharing and the experience, not on metrics and leaderboards.
RoamRise is not a navigation app. It does not navigate you while driving and does not warn you about hazards, traffic or police patrols. For navigation and real-time traffic, use your favourite navigation app. RoamRise is there for you to enjoy the journey, or to record and share your favourite routes.
Routes in RoamRise come from the community of users. They may lead along less common paths — back roads, field tracks or unpaved roads — that may not be suitable for every vehicle, weather or season. Always judge the suitability and passability of a route for yourself.
3. Account
- Some features require you to create an account.
- RoamRise may be used by people aged 15 and over.
- Provide accurate details and keep your credentials safe — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app settings.
4. Safety while driving
Always give priority to driving and watching the road. Do not operate the app while driving. Start and configure recording only in a stationary vehicle or with the help of a passenger.
- Always obey traffic rules, adapt your driving to the conditions, and drive safely and considerately.
- Route and location data is for information only and may be inaccurate or out of date — verify it before and during your trip.
- In an emergency, call the emergency line 112; do not rely on the app.
The operator is not liable for traffic accidents, fines, damages or other consequences arising in connection with the use of the app or with travel along routes shared in the app.
5. User content and sharing
Content you create in RoamRise (routes, points of interest, notes, photos) remains yours. By sharing it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to display and use it for operating and promoting the service.
- You are responsible for the content you share. Share only content you have the rights to and which does not infringe the rights or privacy of others.
- Do not upload unlawful, dangerous, misleading or offensive content, or routes that encourage breaking the rules of the road.
- We reserve the right to moderate content and remove anything that breaches these terms.
6. Rules of use
When using RoamRise, the following is prohibited in particular:
- sending spam or harassing other users,
- posting unlawful content or impersonating another person,
- accessing the service in an automated way (bots, scraping) without our consent,
- bypassing security or disrupting the operation of the service,
- using the service for commercial purposes without our consent.
If you breach the rules, we may restrict or terminate access to your account.
7. Intellectual property
The app, website, their content, design, logo and the RoamRise brand are protected by applicable rights and belong to the operator or its licensors. You may not copy or otherwise use them beyond ordinary use of the service without our consent.
8. Service availability
We strive for reliable operation, but the service is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may change, expand or discontinue features over time.
9. Liability and warranties
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profit, or damages resulting from use of the app, reliance on shared routes, or unavailability of the service. This does not affect the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access in case of a breach of these terms, prolonged inactivity, or where required by law.
11. Relationship to app stores
The app is provided by the operator, not by Apple or Google. Those companies are not responsible for the app, its content or support. When using the app, you must also comply with the terms of the relevant store (App Store, Google Play).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will inform you of material changes in advance in the app or by e-mail. If you continue to use the service, you agree to the current version of the terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms and the relationships arising from them are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, you have the right to out-of-court dispute resolution with the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, or via the EU online dispute resolution platform.
